The Meta Analysis of Research Studies on the Topic of the Effectiveness of Psychodrama Program

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to meta analyze the research studies and to find the trend on the topic of the effectiveness of psychodrama program. Included were the dissertations and journal articles. On the search for the key word ¡®the effectiveness of psychodrama¡¯at the Research Information Sharing Service, 39 research studies were analyzed including 10 master¡¯s theses, 5 doctoral dissertations, and 24 journal articles. The content and the frequency analyses were conducted, which showed that the number of the studies steadily increased and the number of the research articles was more than that of theses and dissertations. The number of the research studies on adults was the largest(74.36%); and adolescents(21,51%), children(2.63%), and the elderly(2.56%). The number of the research studies on the general population was the largest(30.77%), psychopathological cases(23.08 %), mental disorder(5.26%), maladjusted adolescents(12.82%) family violence(15.38%) and the others(12.82%). In addition to the topic of the effectiveness of psychodrama, other various topics were dealt with such as perception, emotion and sociality. Psychodrama seems to be effective in the sensibility, creativiti, spontaneity, self-efficiency, emotional regulation, self realization, social problem solving, change of personal relationship, psychological well-being, and dysfunctional belief.
